About Me

I am an independent freelance web developer based in East Kilbride, Scotland.

In my early career I worked for an E-commerce Web-Design company in Lanark, where I developed website projects for several companies, including Jaeger and Polaroid.

My most recent work experience was as a lecturer at South Lanarkshire College where I worked for 16 years. Over this time I taught a range of subjects from basic IT skills and ECDL (European Computing Driving Licence) to Computer Programming and Web Development up to HND level.

I had a variety of other job roles, including Course Leader for Digital Media, Principal Assessor for a range of subjects, Guidance lecturer and Assessor. I have gained a number of learning and teaching qualifications, including a Degree level qualification in “Teaching in Further Education”.

Alongside teaching, I have been committed to keeping my computing skills relevant and up to date. I have worked on a variety of web development projects, some of which you can see in My Portfolio. I also gained a Degree in Computing by attending evening classes at Paisley University.

Running my own web development business has been an ambition for a number of years

I have been told I have excellent people skills which, along with my teaching experience as a college lecturer, gives me the ability to communicate with my clients at any level of IT literacy.

By working with clients in my local area I am able to offer a personal service.

If it sounds like I can offer you my services please get in touch using one of the methods below and we can arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements.
